This carved figure is very unique, very few artist do this kind of work. Based on traditional designs this Hamatsha Dancer wears a crooked beak, Hamatsha headdress and a cedar bark blanket. The headdress is carved with head horns, a delicate crooked beak with a bone carved skull attached. The lower part of the beak opens with a string. The dancer is mounted with one leg to a square base, while the other leg is lifted up in a dancing position. A unique piece that is very collectible.
