Traditional Jimmy Joseph Aboriginal Box with Sacred Sun designs. All 5 sides reveal Sun designs of which the top displays the Sun Mask having 8 rays, 4 of which are Raven Heads. The front panel reveals a man emerging from the Sacred Sun. The left side panel, shows a quarter Sun Mask revealing the face of a man. The right side panel shows the other quarter of the Sun. The rear side of the crate boasts again the traditional Sun design with emerging male face. Beautifully carved and painted with 6 colours, the crate lid is securely attached with a band of hinges and chain to hold the lid upright. A great addition to the stylish West Coast home.
