George Stokes
George Stokes started carving in 1985, since then he has done different kinds of works such as plaques, masks, totems, rattles, bowls, canes, talking sticks and paintings...
In 1986 he assisted Bill Reid and Don Yoemans in making an 18 feet totem pole for Kitsilano Secondary School, Vancouver, BC. The totem pole now stands in the auditorium of the school. George's main medium is yellow cedar, but he also uses red cedar, alder, and pine. He was one time busy in the process of having blank art cards made as well as getting some limited edition prints silk screened.
