Indian Handmade Thunderbirds & Human Box ($350 off from $2250)

This deeply carved box has designs on all five sides. The top shows two thunderbirds with a human being in the middle. On the front panel there is a beautiful salmon, and  above are two ravens with a sun mask in the middle. The back panel shows an eagle head surrounded by three lightning flashes. The right side panel depicts a sun mask with eight rays, four of them carved as ravens. There are also two more ravens above the sun mask on the side of the lid. The left side panel shows a thunderbird's head and wing with two ravens above on the side of the lid. The inside of the box is built to accommodate a small box, which slides from right to left. This box features beautifully integrated wooden hinges and a lid with woven cedar strips.

The Box was created by a master carver who uses very traditional old designs from the West Coast.
